INSIDE THE FRENCH LUXURY INDUSTRY - OR JUST TOUCHING THE SURFACE?
Interesting to read that some believe to seize the French luxury phenomenon by focusing on demographics, number of HNWIs etc. I believe that misses the point. The real essence of French luxury is deeply rooted in the cultural richness of France. Particularly when I look back at my own experiences, being educated in parallel in the German and the French school systems: That seemed like two different worlds, with actually very different perspectives and mindsets. For me, the values, stories and - most important - the (philosophical) questions that shape the perception and thinking from the very beginning in the French system, learning to appreciate but at the same time to challenge the heritage, created the fertile ground for appreciating French Art of luxury. Meaningful insights into the French Luxury have to consider its unique cultural DNA, and not only the number of HNWIs. https://lnkd.in/guvqrF9
